Hi, I’m Amanda, founder of Pawmize. While working with animal rescues, I’ve cared for many pets after their owners were hospitalized or had passed away.

It made me think about how we assume we’ll always be there to care for our pets. Some pets are fortunate enough to be taken in immediately by loving relatives or friends. But too often, pets are left alone at home without care for days or even weeks—or are placed in a shelter.

Even when a pet is included in a will or estate plan, those instructions may not be accessed right away, while the pet’s need for care is immediate.

That led me to create Pawmize—a plan that helps your pet continue to receive care if you can’t be there. They can be cared for by people you know and trust or through a trusted animal sanctuary, following the care instructions you’ve provided.

That way, your pet can continue receiving the love, attention, and care they’re used to—from their favorite routines and comforts to their food and medical needs.
